During our user research phase, we discovered that customers often feel inclined to add more items to their order during the checkout process. We also identified a gap between the current checkout process and our desired goal. To better understand the customer experience, we created a visual customer journey map. We then developed various checkout process options and conducted A/B testing to determine which performed best.

We encountered several obstacles during the process, including a lack of stakeholder understanding of the research phase. Our stakeholders initially focused solely on the visuals and did not see the value of user research in identifying issues. We had to educate them on the importance of the research, which caused a delay in our deadline. However, once they understood its significance, we were able to proceed smoothly.
